Onari Jackson
Executive Director

 Onari Jackson is a married proud mother of four and the founder and CEO of Healing Broken Wings Inc. She is a Healthy Life Assistant and Motivational Speaker dedicated to the well-being of Woman in the DMV. A native Washingtonian and proud graduate of the District of Columbia Public School System, she earned her B.S. in Psychology from Virginia State University. She has served as a Parent Liaison for DC Public Charter Schools for more than a decade. She has presented to local woman’s and health groups like The Woman’s Collective. She hosts Healthy Life Nights in collaboration with Artdrenalie Café and forums with groups such as Black Girl Rocks awards recipients Black and Missing Foundation. 

Onari Jackson established the nonprofit, Healing Broken Wings Inc. in October 2016 to motivate and strengthen the network or resources for the Woman in the DMV. Each week the organization host a Woman’s Winning Wednesday Forum in collaboration with Training Grounds, Families on the Rise and ward 8 ANC’s. Monthly, the organization hosts a Ward 8 Women’s Forums in collaboration with District Councilmember Trayon White to educate the community on such topics as Healthy Eating on a Budget, Child Care and Career Readiness. 

Onari Jackson has been featured on WHUR Daily Drum and Café Mocha and The Howard Theater. She has also been Mistress of Ceremonies at the National Night Out and has partnered with Man Power DC, Empower DC, Winn Companies Atlantic Apartment Homes, The United States Attorney’s Office and United Planning Organization to bring wrap around services to women in the District of Columbia along with events such as The Annual Youth Summit, Christmas Toy Drive, Purple Wave Festival, Pop Up Shops, Health Fairs, and job fairs to name a few. 

Eager and willing to do the work for change, Onari Jackson is connecting the pieces and changing the world one woman at a time.
